Usagi Tsukino

Well here we are, another full color pic (I seriously need to do more of these). This one deplicting the pretty soldier Sailor Moon in what I hope to be a Tetsuya Nomura (KH) style outfit. I tried to reproduce her Senshi costume in a KH fashion but now that I look at it she doesn't look like she's in her "Sailor Moon" form, the outfit actually looks more like a casual civilian outfit (albeit a little reveiling). In coloring her I have discovered how much the gold-color pencil I have sucks, it's too dark and is a pain to shade with.

As you might have guessed I drew the whole thing by hand with Prisma Pencils, therefore the real bitch here was that stupid background. I wasn't sure at first about putting Saix in there but I just went with it, tried to make his blue hair different from Usagi's skirt and top so that they didn't blend with the background (pain in the ass). It got more mind numbing and spirit crushing as I started filling in the rest of it (I couldn't just leave it white after all), that moon was silver at first but it was just throwing the whole piece off so I had to maked it blue-greenish.

All in all, I actually like how Usagi turned out, I think I'd rather draw her in this outfit from now on (if possible^-^).
