Pokeon X and Y Final Thoughts

God I barely got any sleep with this one. As it currently stands I have yet to beat the Elite Four, besides that I have more or less completed the main story campaign. My Pokémon team is as follows (in order of acquisition)-

GODHAND Greninja lv. 70
Extrasensory, Night Slash, Water Shuriken, Scald

PILE BUNKER Raichu lv. 69
Thunderbolt, Façade, Quick Attack, Rock Smash
I actually wanted to keep him as a Pikachu but after the level 60 mark I needed the crappy Thunder move to even one shot weaker foes and I noticed his defense hit a dead end meaning he kept getting one shoted by even lower level foes, so I had to give him the Thunder Stone I had. I already miss his "Pika Pika" voice clips T_T....

MEGA FLARE Charizard lv. 69

Goddamn there are so many classic Pokémon! It's like a candy store for long time Pokefans up in this bitch, they even have Zoroark in the wild for Christ's sake! It's gonna be a hell of a time getting them all and additional playthroughs will certainly be far more interesting...

The pacing is kind of weird though, it was at least a few hours into the game before my second badge and while it wasn't no breeze I still found myself well enough above the levels needed to beat these Gyms. Kind of wished the main story wrapped up AFTER I beat the Elite Four. Of course I could turn the EXP Share off if I wanted to and that sort of buffed the difficulty up to just right in some parts.

Also the dialog could have been WAY better than this, everyone is going on about how wonderful it is to be friends with Pokémon or to share the Magic of Friendship with everyone and their Pokémon, how super special awesome it is to be best buds on the journey of a lifetimm, on and on and on goddamn! It just made me outright call bullshit on the main villain's ramblings about how the world is full of assholes that need to be purged, it is a serious disconnect of story concepts that could have used much fine tuning. Also I think the game would have been just fine without that one palace section (or at least had a lot more to it).

Besides that this game was awesome, perhaps the best main Pokémon game I've played so far second only to Gold & Silver. Next playthrough I'm hoping to have a Gardevoir and a Gallade on my team, hell with how early I found Raltz I should have just had them on my team this playthrough (fucking sucks you can only get Gardevoir's Meha Stone post game as I've just found out)....
